How to go to Puerto Galera from Manila

Puerto Galera is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. This coastal town is well known among tourists for its numerous pocket beaches and many snorkeling and diving spots. Among the famous beaches in Puerto Galera are Sabang Beach and White Beach, which have an active nightlife with numerous bars and restaurants. Both beaches also have an array of first-class and economy-class accommodations.
Puerto Galera is only three and a half hours away from Manila.

Go to Gil Puyat, LRT station. Light Railway Transit is such a popular mode of transportation, you can ask any body how to get to LRT. Buy a ticket at Gil Puyat Bus Terminal going to Batangas Pier. Ticket costs around Php 170.00
If you bring your own car,1) take south super high way-2)after toll gate at Calamba just straight ahead, 3)there is new highway going to Batangas Pier,this new high way connected Star highway(toll fee is 25pesos)-4) after 10 Km away you can meet Star toll gate going to Batangas Pier(toll fee is 65peso)-5) after toll gate you drive straight ahead, around 5km away you can see Pier already-6) just proceed PARK & SAIL area, you can park here very safe for your car.(parking fee is around 180 peso/24hours).

Just below the station is a bus terminal. Ride a bus that has a placard that says ‘Batangas Pier’. Ask the conductor to let you know once you are already in the pier. The fare costs from Php160 – Php180. The trip will takes 2 hours.

At the pier, there are many booths where you can buy tickets to ride a motor boat going to the beaches. Among the famous beaches in Puerto Galera are Sabang and White Beach. Sabang is the main destination for foreign tourists, while White Beach is famous among the locals and foreigners also. At peak season or during summer the two-way boat ride ticket costs Php 500.00 per person. But in non-peak seasons, the ticket costs Php 480.00.

At the booth, you will be informed of the name of your boat, sometimes it’s a number, the arrival time of your boat and the date and time the boat will come and bring you back at the pier. Wait in the sitting area, as the names of the boat is being announced. Once the boat arrives, you will be assisted in getting in it. Expect a one and a half hour boat ride. Have a Nice Trip all :-)
